Last week , The Art Plastic Surgery Hospital had the honor of welcoming Ms. Prae Vatanika Patamasingh Na Ayudhya, one of Thailand’s leading fashion designers and the founder of VATANIKA, a brand internationally recognized for its distinctive identity and refined elegance .
Beyond her excellence as a designer ,Ms. Prae possesses a profound understanding of Image, Communication , and Presentation —and she has an exceptional ability to convey these concepts with clarity, warmth, and emotional resonance.
What We Learned On that day, Ms. Prae shared valuable insights on elevating service standards and communication —elements that are just as important as the quality of surgical outcomes we deliver to our patients.
Key concepts that could be applied immediately included:
- Body Gestures – body language that reflects confidence and genuine attentiveness
- Tone of Voice – a calm, clear, and reassuring voice that creates a sense of safety
- Feelings – communication that conveys sincerity and emotional authenticity
She also strongly emphasized Discretion —the strict protection of patient privacy—because in our profession, confidentiality and trust are values that must be safeguarded above all else.
A Lasting Impression That impressed me most was how Ms. Prae transformed “small details” into powerful tools of communication—a smile, eye contact, or even hand placement while explaining —each capable of instantly building confidence and trust.
As a surgeon, I firmly believe that excellent surgery begins with skill and knowledge ,but care that patients truly remember begins with the feelings we create from the very first encounter.
A Reflection from the Heart That day was not merely a lecture ,but an opportunity to see ourselves—and our team—through a new lens.
Every gesture , every word , every smile is, in fact, part of the healing process.
I sincerely hope that these small yet meaningful lessons will gradually accumulate and evolve into a new benchmark of service excellence for Thailand’s aesthetic medical field—in alignment with our hospital’s vision.
